The Riviera collection takes its cue from the Italian and French coastline: fine-gauge cotton knits built to breathe in warm weather, with just enough detail to carry a piece from a beach lunch to an evening table. Why a knitted polo suits warm weather
Woven pique is the usual polo fabric, but a knitted construction moves differently. The Riviera pieces use an open, fine-gauge cotton knit that flexes with the body and lets more air through than a tightly woven pique, which is why they read as lighter even in a similar weight of cotton. Ribbed collars and cuffs hold their shape through a day of wear without the stiffness of a woven collar.

How to wear them
- Daytime: tailored shorts or linen trousers with espadrilles.
- Evening: slim trousers, a lightweight blazer over the top, and loafers.
- Layering: the button-down and zip styles both sit well under an open jacket, since the knit doesn't bulk up the way a thicker polo would.

Every piece in the Riviera collection is knitted and finished in Sri Lanka, the same base Legacy London has used for its garments since the brand started there in 1997. The fabric is 100% cotton, chosen for how it breathes rather than for a season on a calendar, which is why the collection works as a warm-weather staple rather than a one-off drop.
